Dante's Devine Verona - and a disappointment on Day 9

Poet Dante Alighieri ponders the goings on at Piazza Erbe, better known by the locals as Piazza Dante
Reporting on a day trip to beautiful, engaging, and historic Verona.

The Hunchback of Santa Anastasia Basilica; rubbing his back brings good luck.

Sadly, there was a major disappointment in our visit, perhaps because we did not rub the back of the poor fellow above. Nonetheless I was really taken by Verona.

Ponte Pietra, white stones are from original Roman bridge which spanned the Adige River until bombed out during WWII.
