Coming this fall...........

35 days in Italy...

Join us as we explore the land of Etruscans  and Romans; Michelangelo, Leonardo and Bernini; pizza, gnocchi, and tiramisu; olives, grapes and anchovies, Gucci and Armani; Ferraris and Fiats. 

We are currently in the final planning stages of our trip, packing and unpacking, fine tuning the itinerary in hopes of balancing expenses with personal comfort, and (oxymoron alert) "planning for spontaneity." That means we're attempting to allow for changes due to whim or weather. [One might think that 35 days would allow us to see just about everything there is to see. Far from it.]


Depending upon our energy levels and internet availability, we plan to post short reports and photos on a daily basis. Travel with us to 

• Milan and Lake Como; 
• Padua (with side trips to Venice, Verona, Vicenza); 
• Lucca and Pisa; 
• La Cinque Terre; 
• Florence and Siena; 
• Perugia, Assisi, and other hilltop towns in Tuscany and Umbria; 
• Rome and Vatican City; and finally to 
• Sorrento (with side trips to Pompeii, the Amalfi Coast, and the Greek temple at Paestum).
